Just spotted this on another forum and it seems very good value. I have been meaning to get one for ages to dry tomatoes, apples, etc

Plus if you add the code 302270 in at checkout you get £5.00 off if its your first order so very good value on line. I am going to our local shop today to have a closer look.

Thanks, I have never noticed this shop before, but notice I have a local one too.  I'll check it out next weekend (forum must have been popular, as I notice it has sold out online!!!)  I have fancied a drier, but cannot justify £100 on the normal advertised one!

Had a conversation with someone about this not long ago.
Got mine from Ascott Smallholding Supplies, £129.00, on-line at www.ascott.biz and it is located in the department called Country Kitchen.
Also if you search on Google on the internet under Food dehydrator and also Food dryer you will find pages on how to make your own. They are basically only a fan and low wattage heat. Some countries can use the sun: http://www.i4at.org/surv/soldehyd.htm and http://www.pathtofreedom.com/pathproject/offthegrid/solarfooddryer.shtmlare both good links.
