Our plot

We got our plot in July, if this photo works it should show my daughter helping us do some clearing. It hadn't been used for about 8 yrs.




We cleared a small patch and quickly put in some runner beans, just to keep us interested.
Then slowly took off all the turf and made a big heap at one end and have covered it.
Next we started digging and pulling out as many weeds as we could.

If this picture works I will post another of how it looks now.

Can't wait to see the after - having just got my own bare plot.  It looks like a warm day for digging there!  Ahhh warm days...... :)

This is the plot now, all ready to go, beyond the shed we have planted raspberries and gooseberries. Also a raised bed for strawberries.

Brilliant - you've obviously been working very hard!  I don't think mine will ever look as neat as that!

I think it looks so tidy as it's empty, can't imagine keeping it like that once we have done some planting and the weeds start growing!

It really looks fabulous. What a transformation! Will you fence it in to protect it from rabbits etc?
