Do Peas Need Pollinating

I read somewhere that you can grow peas under enviromesh which I thought would get round the birds / netting tangle I normally get in to.

But dont peas need pollinating?  Also is it best to grow peas in manured trences like beans or are they less hungry.

Peas are self pollinating so you should be ok. The mesh would keep the moth off as well so you don't get grubs in the peas.
