Right then - no going back now.  :o

The Letting Sec has confirmed that I can have the plot next door!

The shed hasn't got a door, so I'll have to have a go at making a new one (I treated myself to a compound mitre saw this year so better dig it out and get going!) it's got marestail something awful so I guess I better stock up with industrial quantities of glyphosate...and start measuing up for the groud cover!

Scary - yes.  Exciting - YES!  Most fun you can have with your clothes on, right!!?!  In fact, might be most fun you can have at all (I lead a quiet life...)  ;)

Hi Legless - well that's a good question!  And I'm open to suggestions!!

The only decision made thus far is to move the new, small and currently doorless shed to a suitable place on the plot and ensure that it has firm foundations (my current shed looks like it landed from a tornado! It has a distinct list to port due to lack of support  :o)  It shall then have a sitting area added of the cheapest slabs I can find - or liberate - but nothing of much interest ever seems to go in the skips around here  :-[.  Next, a big wooden table to put me bits and pieces on!

Said shed and sitting area will have a small 'garden' space around it planted with wildlife attractants - yarrow, poached egg plant, fennel, verbena bonariensis, etc.  This will give be somewhere that I can quietly chill whilst giving withering looks to the marestail!

My thoughts may then roam to soft fruit, how (or if) to bring the neglected apple tree back to full glory (I'm not good with trees - they tend to die on me....I've gotten through three Victoria plums- all snuffed it!)

I'll duplicate my Excel plan and spend the dark and cold winter days plotting.... :D

Greetings Ozzy - Perches, rods and poles all sound vaguely S&M to me - I'm more of a sensuous soul meself!  I don't do anything before feet and inches!  Each plot is about 25ft x 50ft.  I'm really looking forward to the winter evenings now, drinking hot chocolate and planning, re-planning, changing my mind, planning some more..... :D
