I just love browsing in book shops ......especially at this time of year........... as I treat myself to a special book...... in memory of a dear old friend and gent ......a keen gardener and naturalist......who has had a huge influence on my chosen lifestyle !!

So .... I'd love some suggestions from you all.......... anything to do with flora and fauna!!  :)  :)

Hello Di, Bob Flowerdew's my HERO, so anything by him would grab my attention..just now I'm reading his 'Organic Bible' - on loan from my Organic Soc for the month, but see that the last printing date was 1998? So, anything more current  would be tops - Lish

Hi MagpieDi - more seriously, this time  :) :) :) :) :)

Good ideas all (- except for one ;D) - and a couple more?

Digger's Diary, by Victor Osborne (publisher?); wonderful read - I'm re-reading it, but left it in school today, so I don't have any more details to hand.  Written by a contributor to the Telegraph.

And I like Grow Your Own Vegetables - Joy Larkcom; no coffee-book stuff, just solid reading.

Or wander round a good second-hand book-shop for really old goodies?

Good luck - Gavin
