My big cucumbers

Went to the allotment yesterday and the first thing to greet me was a very dead cucumber where Mother in Law had puled one free and snapped the main stem  :-[  Mind you there is some live growth and a flower still at the base so maybe some fruit to come yet.

Then started looking round and found these two beasts hiding under the base foliage of the other two plants.  Thought the courgettes had spread a runner st first cos these are like marrows!!  Haven't tried eating them yet so could be horrible but quite impressed at outdoor cuc's getting this big  :D

Neil (The Young Ones) once said "You plant the seed, the seed grows, you harvest the seed....You plant the seed....."   if only it was that simple!!!

Lovely cucmbers, Icy!! Perhaps it would be wise to restrict Ma-in-laws visits to lottie?  :-\ Lottie  ;D
