sick peace lily~help please

just recently i've noticed these blackened areas appearing on the leaves of my peace lily.
up until now it has been a very healthy looking specimen.
can anyone help as i don't want to lose it~it was a mother's day gift from snake & candy-floss

Water splashes on the leaves might do this.

i usually water from below but i'll try to be more careful in future j :)

Mine goes like that when I've overwatered it. Well the leaf tips do anyway.

How often do you water yours? I only water mine now when the leaves start to droop. This also encourages it to flower.

i'm rather guilty of overwatering~i'll now wait till it's at death's door ;D
