Hi Eric,

Wondering if you can help me out please. I have a friend who has asked me the Latin name for the Purple Dandelion do you know it by any chance?
Can't seem to find it on the net.

Could be TARAXACUM RUBRIFOLIUM?

Taraxacum something, will need to look further for the one with a purple flower
T, rubrifolium has reddish leaves. T faeronese has purple leaves
Do for now, still chasing down the name of a purple flowered one. White one do you? Taraxacum albidum, used to grow it!

Knew there was a pink/purple one T. pamiricum, but the one know generally as the Purple Dandelion is the Portuguese T. rubrifolium.

T. albidum is not invasive, but it is hard to get hold off and not that easy to keep,
