chick peas

Anyone got any tips on growing chick peas.  Can i pick them fresh then blanche and freeze them?
Mine are just about to flower.

Yup, been there, an excellent site, but i've never met or heard of anyone else growing chick peas, so i'm suspicious as to why!   ::)
