cutie bumble bee bum! (and lovely coloured violas, or are they pansies?!)

I have loads of bumbles too as well as, what I've since found out are, tawny mining bees. And ladybirds. I was hoping it was just that I'd put in the right plants!

I love a bumble bee! Nice pics Greenwiz!

I have a friend who is on a bumble bee witch hunt right now. Her 2 year old was stung yesterday but only because it got stuck in her neck sort of thing. I'm trying to calm my friend down and tell her it was really unlucky and unusual. Her little one is fine and only thinks the bumbler's bottom should be smacked.

I saw a teeny tiny bee yesterday going right inside the bell of a campanula. wonder what type it was?

Have seen only two kadybirds this year. One in my garden and one in the street on the path.

There are various solitary bees, and some of these are really small. What you saw was probably one of these.
