hi can anyone help me out ive got some verbena plants in a hanging basket,and was wondering do you need to prick out the growing tip to make them bushier or do you leave them?

I  usually just leave them Mutty.  Dead head though to make sure of more flowers in time. 
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.
