Since giving up the plot I am using my garden, cannot use it all so just a few rows of raised beds, alright for small veggies but need more room for squash etc. I have a few potato bags but then I remembered the black buckets, for those not in the know most supermarkets have loads of these for their cut flowers and some even give them to you free. I paid for mine a quid for 20 buckets. Get down to the shops and fill yer boots.

Not here Ace but don't forget you can grow your squash bertically to save space and get the fruits up in the sun for better ripening.

I grow a few squash vertically. When fruits appear, I support them with old tights. They make great sling supports
I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.

I found the vertical growing method quite a beneficial way to grow squash.

I'm running low on the black buckets that had flowers in, from a supermarket beginning with M. I hope I can get some more this year. Did have some white ones, but they've not lasted long.
