Yeh she is amazing.  Bet you she will be apprehended for abusing the little darlings civil liberties and they guy pinning one of the little sh****s down will be done for unlawful restraint and abuse.  Such is the pathetic society we now live in.    >:(  Well done Granny.  True 'older' British Spirit.

I forgot to add....I would like to think that that would be me too.  Only hope I have a spade in my hand at the time not my handbag.  Mind you with everything that is in my handbag that could be classed as a lethal weapon should you be twanged about the head with it.  :P

Such is the pathetic society we now live in.

No, while people like this lady still have courage our society is not irredeemably pathetic.  And don't believe everything you read in the Daily Mail, every citizen is entitled to use reasonable force to prevent crime, and in the circumstances that would be very much more than a lady could muster with a handbag.  The world is not so bleak, and this lady has made a difference.
