hey all  :-[
here is a top tip if it works  ???
when you plant your sweetcorn and frenchbeans and cabage and coli you can put small bits of (wait for it) Rubarb inthe hole before planting and this will stop clump root and attraction of ants!!!!!
now if like me your rubarb has gone mad this year it is worth a go even if it dont work  ;D

I read that somewhere about the rhubarb.  Also I was on the plot of a seasoned allotmenteer yesterday and he was doing it with his cabbages - a 2" piece under each.   :)    He also recommended I water something with salt but can't remember what.  Could it have been carrots?
