Grow your own mag.
« on: May 05, 2005, 11:46:44 »
The two packs of free seeds in this weeks GYO are Courgette 'De Nice a Fruit Rond' & 'Butternut Squash'.
I shall keep the butternut till next year as I have already planted this year. (used last of the packet so very fortuitous)
Think I'll give the courgette a go as I've not tried that type before. :)
Also an offer for a free 'How to control pests book (organicly) just pay P&P of £2.99.

I've decided to give B/nut a try as we eat a lot and pay a small fortune for the privilege.  ;)

Having eaten lots of different squashes and pumpkins last year can honestly say that butternut is probably the least tasty.  The best flavoured I had was one of the blue kuri ones.  this year I'm growing an even bigger range to try and find the most delicious  Will keep you posted  ;D
I came, I saw, I composted

Wardy, love to hear what your findings are. Only eat Butternut as they are so widely available I guess!
Please let us know!!
