What variety are they?
When did you plant em?
And where in the country are you?

you know, my pots haven't peeped yet either, and i didn't dig em in deep, far from it. as you prob know, I'm in oxon, and it's a bit odd I guess. I planted some just about easter time, and not a peep, then a second lot couple of weeks back. strange
I will finish it, one day

Waggi thought of another question to add - did you chit the spuds first?

Larry, I'm in Oxford and I have some first earlies I planted at easter which still haven't emerged (as of last weekend).

Spuds that I am earthing up now are rocket (super-fast growers) which I planted insanely early under a double layer of fleece. Did 2 short rows on 16th Feb (just before all that snow etc :-\), and another 2 short rows on 12th march.

Waggi, chitting is putting the seed spuds somewhere light (or warm or cool or dark, depending on who you ask  :)) to get a head start before you plant them. They should grow nice healthy green shoots (the 'chits') like this:

Then you plant them out when the chits are around an inch or so long. Chitting isn't essential though, just gives the spuddies a head start.

If you didn't do this, it might take a bit longer for your spuds to come up.

I am sure your spuds will make an appearance soon  :)

Moggle - not an expert, and happy to be corrected if all this is wrong  :)

Waggi
I am just down the road in St.Annes and last night I noticed that mine are just breaking through, I would not worry to much as its been a bit nippy, looking on the plots not many are up and I think most peeps have been a bit late this year putting them in.

The first of mine (Red Duke of york - planted 20 March at about 6 inch depth) are now through so if you didn't chit (I did) and planted them a bit deeper than mine that would explain it  -even though our sites are only about a mile apart.  I'd guess you'll see them within the week
Fingers crossed

No sign of my spuds either Waggi but I'm not panicking - yet.  It's been cold up here Derbyshire so I'm not  suprised.  I'm going to have a look this afto as we had quite a lot of rain day before yesterday, lots of sun yesterday so hopefully those combinations might have stirred things up a bit.  Here's hoping  :)

Waggi.  Just got back from plot as I went to check my spud progress.  Yep, they're coming through.  They're under sheet mulch and are poking through some of the holes.  We wait ages for em to emerge then we quickly cover em back up again.   ;D   The ones I have in various tubs and bags on the plot are not showing yet.  It's only the first bed I did of Arran Pilot.

I wouldn't worry - I only planted mine today..... :-[ Have clay soil which has either been to claggy and wet or rock hard like concrete.  Just managed to dig holes today and get them in.  I am now praying for a long summer so they have a chance to grow.  Mind you seem to remember they only went in a couple of weeks earlier last year and they were fine.
