There seems to be a huge amount of new members here lately. Can I just put a welcome to you all and a hi. I know some folk like to slide in sideways and others with a blaze but whatever you're like this is a friendly site and enjoy yourselves. ;D :-*

Great, the more the merrier, and this is a merry band! I came in a fair while back in the influx that deserted the Beeb when they first knocked down our Garden Shed, and then removed our 'garden fence'.

Good to have grdening buddies, all over the place. Cheers!

If you don't mind my curiosity, how did you all find this site?

Hi Ina,

I found the site ages and ages ago when I used to lurk on the bbc sites and this site was mentioned.

I didn't have veggie patch, but kept coming back here and became more and more enthusiastic about growing my own, so did just that this spring - got the fencing sorted (tons of rabbits just waiting "peter" style to eat everything) and have been sowing seeds since February.

I managed to have my first "harvest"  yesterday when I cut some lettuce for my salad - and very yummy it was too.

I've got rabbits too - lots of them!  I too have recently sown mixed salad leaves which I intend to graze with the scissors as soon as there's something sizeable enough to eat  ;D
I came, I saw, I composted

Thank for your reply Alimo. That must have been a long time ago when this site was mentioned on the beeb board.

Hi, I've been trying to work out the post system ??? I gather you're a newbie until you have 50 posts (nearly there ;D) How many till you graduate from junior? And what about the rest ie. senior, YaBB (don't even know what that stands for. ???)
Sorry if I sound thick.
My kids wish I'd never found this site as I'm always chucking them off the comp. now so i can catch up on all the latest gossip and tips.

I would like to say this is the BEST site ever. ;)  I used to frequent the BBC boards until they decided to close Garden Fence down too.

I always have the compulsion to come here for news or just for a good read as to what all you good people have done at the lotty or in their gardens.  It's a wealth of interest to me and I adore the site and all the postings.  Everyone helps each other out and you can also have live chats in the chatroom!
 ;D :D :D

Enjoy today to the full.  You are not sure of a tomorrow.

and me Marianne. I soldiered on for a bit but couldn't stand the 'don't say this' 'can't say that ' ...well b.........s , if you can't pass the time of day with internet friends its a poor look out.
