Greens and browns for compost
« on: August 14, 2016, 18:30:47 »
When I cut back plants after flowering, the stems are green. If, by the time I've got room for them in my compost bin, they have dried out, are they now "brown" in terms of compost making?

I always consider stems as brown, unless they are really soft like nettle stems.  Leaves and grass cuttings as greens.   :sunny:
