Toad in a hole
« on: July 19, 2013, 22:10:16 »
A toad has taken to digging a hole for itself every evening outside my back door, in a different plant pot each night. It only chooses small pots with young plants in Grrrr. I left it a pot of soil and a pot of water. It has turned its warty back on these.

Toad in the hole:

The clematis plants seem unperturbed luckily.

What about covering the plants with some small stones like gravel will it ignore these?

I don't know - if it keeps on I'll have to try it. It went in a big tomato tub last night so that was ok - plenty of room. I was a bit worried as I had potted on leek and PSB seedlings and I thought a big fat toad bum could wreck a few of them!
