spreading / carpet plants
« on: July 07, 2013, 19:25:40 »
hi :)

looking to pick everyones brains again. ive got a flower bed at the front of the house (north), this is my first year of trying to grow flowers and make the are prettyful while hubby does the more useful things like grow all the edibles  :toothy10:. it took me long enough to try and work out what plants to put in, sowing by height so it'd look good and each plant wouldnt shad the next out. i hadnt considered successional sowing so as a result all my poached eggs are dying back and im gonna be left with a bare patch at the front. all this is a roundabouy way of saying im looking for ideas for plants that can be bought or  ones i can still sow that will be fast growing and carpet the bald area at the front of the flowed bed. im in central scotland not far from stirling :)
