....until our first 2012 batch of quail eggs hatch.  The incubator has been doing its thing for the past 15 days, now the eggs have stopped turning, humidity is up so fingers crossed chicks for the weekend.

We're hatching some ducks for a friend at the allotments.  Their due date is Monday.

Six chicks all hatched  over the weekend, one duff egg that didn't.  The last chick to hatch is a bit of a runt, we will monitor and see how it grows.  I find with the quail, if they are late hatchers, they don't seem to be able to straighten up so don't always make it.  Seven freshly laid eggs went back into the incubator today so 17days to the next hatch.  I have taken pics and will see if I can post them.
