ADVICE PLEASE

 is it OK to chop & freeze the onions we have grown this year just so as i have a few ready. thank you for any help  Rosebud. ;D.

If you've not done it already Buds, another YES from me. No need to blanch but I've found that it's best to freeze flat in those zip-lock bags cos they tend to bunch together once frozen. They'll still be a bit soggy when you use them but it's easier to break off pieces or use the whole bag when you want them.

PS I'm doing the same with peppers this arvers......bought a bargain job-lot yesterday 8)

 Thanks Lish, never thought about them being soggy i shall have to think about  that perhaps leave them in the garage.
Keep busy with the peppers i eat them raw  when i am chopping them so hope you have some left, not chillie peppers i might add :o.

I do this all the time, they are not soggy in the soggy sense LOL sorta what they would be like after they cook a minute or two, it makes no difference in anything you cook, I freeze my garkic too.Oh and my onions are chopped .

We had to do this with the onions that had white rot. already used some in soup, they dont fry very well  ;D
