I'm looking forward to meeting some of you again, and some of you for the first time.  I daren't look at the weather forecast, but we will have plenty of cover in case it rains.

Dandlyon, it is on the 51 or 52 bus from Birmingham city centre.  Ask the driver to tell you when you get to Perry Avenue (just past the Tennis Court pub) and then cross over the main road go to Church Rd.  You'll see the entrance to the allotments just inside the park.  We open at 12:00.

Perry Barr railway station is nearest- do we walk up Walsall road and cross over to get in the site?
or do we just follow CK?

Oh, it would be nice to have such a lovely clan near enough to take part in an open day! If I was holidaying near enough I definitely would but alas, I am too far away!  I hope it all goes great though - and that the weather holds out for you :) (dare I take a peak at the forecast ....?)

PS - I'd like to place on online order for some homemade cakes, please ;D ;D

Yes, walk past the One Stop shopping centre and up Walsall Rd till you pass the Tennis Court pub on your right.  We are the next turning on the right (Church Rd).

I wonder if we could persuade CK to do the tourist guide thing and lead a procession from the station?  ;)

We'd better be careful then!
Are there lunch type things or is it all cake- I suppose I could just eat a lot of cake!

It was lovely to visit again, I was gutted @ the lack of cheese cake but the ginger cake that was for sale made up for it :D Unfortunatly our day ended with a trip to birmingham childrens hospital.  The twins wanted to go to the park after i dragged them around the site which i thought was quite a good idea (like they would let me walk past the park without them having a play!!), Trinity decided to get off this round-a-bout thing at the same time another little girl wanted to push it. the result of this was not pretty!!  She fell off cracked her chin :( blood everywhere!!! When she calmed down she was such a brave little thing, luckily they managed to use steri strips & glue.  I was in such a flap, i knew she would need stitches of some sort, but i wasnt sure of the best way to get her to hospital (i know that sounds really daft!).  I was the other side of birmingham from where i live, i had no credit on my phone & even if i did have any i had no local taxi firm to call :( so in the end i called an ambulance (which i felt terrible about).  They were great with both of the kids.  When we got home & i was putting them to bed i asked if they had had a good day & what was thier Favorite part, Gabriel told me the hospital was his best bit & Trinity told me the ride in the ambulance was hers!!
Is loving how the twins are really getting into planting seeds this year!  two for the price of one!! :D http://i46.tinypic.com/zy7ww8.jpg[/img]

A great day out and thank you to Betty,Shirl,Tony and gang.  Nice meeting other A4A members.  Real eye opener for my friend Marion, who now No's what I've been on about size of plots and what can be done when theres a good committee in charge.  A real credit to you all.  Looking forward to my various jellies and chutneys.  And will be working out where to put my new plants  ;D ;D  and Shirls piece of art work  :D.  Do you take commissions Shirl?  The flowers are now gracing my stepdaughters lounge ready for when she arrived home last night.  Got lost going home  ::).  Missed the m5 and ended up on the m69 so got off and came back to Swindon using the Fosse Way.  Great views and countryside on that route.
