Christmas Potatoes

My Charlotte's arrived this morning and the instructions do no mention "chitting" them - I take it that I can plant them as they are. Any comments?

Chitting is always optional, but is really just a matter of letting them sprout while waiting for the soil to warm up in spring. I'd say there's no advantage in doing that for mid summer planting - may as well get them straight in to the soil.

That would have been my follow on question as I've got 20 seed potatoes and i was going to plant them in bags, four per bag and one bag every three weeks to take me into the New Year.
