Pruning and moving rose's
«

Is there a 'hard & fast' rule on pruning and moving roses?
I have a fairly large one to move, also a few small 'bushy' ones,
the large one will need pruning,
would like to do it soon.
thanks for any help

Leave it until after the end of this month, then move it while the soil still retains some warmth. Prune back as soon as you`ve replanted

Thank you for your reply, have taken notice, but I think the large one will have to have some cut down or I will not be able to handle it,
thanks again

I moved a large one last year around this time and had to trim it first!
Make sure that you dig as large a root ball as you can with them. Replant with plenty of compost and water well and they should be fine next year.
