Buddleias with two coloured spikes on same bush

I have several buddleias in my garden, some mauve some white but the other day I saw one with both colours on the same bush.
Would this be a graft? If so, can I make one?

Not if you prune them practically down to the ground like we do every year.
Is the whole branch one color?
Some plants get different colors due to a virus- azalea springs to mind.
Some flowers turn a different shade as the flower ages.

What are the two colours? White and mauve for example, or two shades of say mauve?
Is it possible you have two closely inter-twined bushes?
OR are the two colours on one branch of the bush?
Has this occured recently and not before?

Are you sure they are attached? Perhaps it is a sport

I've just found the replies to my post - notification wasn't working!
Maybe the roots are mixed but as its in a private garden peeking over the fence, I can hardly rootle around in the roots ;D
