Is anyone else going to sow overwintering cabbages this year. One chap on our site has great success with them so I have bought some seeds to have a go. I have Spring Hero and Durham Early. Any tips from the experts out there please?

Cabbage Spring Hero Kings planted inseed bed 23/08/09 (should be 1/08) planted out 53, 5/10/09 covered with fleece over winter. Lost 1/3 during winter (slugs) cut 1/5 onwards average weight. one kilo.
