Tomatoes - should I stop them now?
« on: June 20, 2010, 07:18:43 »
I have 3 Mille Fleur tomato plants in my greenhouse which are now up to the eaves.  They are covered in flowers and there are  a few small tomatoes.

It seems very early in the season but I'm wondering whether I should stop them now?

Tony only stops his when he can't reach them anymore so being as you are tiny tot and unless you are planning on using a ladder I would stop em now ;D
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

..or if you feel like being greedy you could carry on by training them under the eaves.. ;)..like you said it is still early in the season..
I don't stop mine..I just let them grow as high as they like..the cold weather will stop them eventually..and I had my last tomatoes just before Christmas.. ;D ;D
But If you feel they are getting out of hand and too untidy..your choise..
