Use of Blood fish and bone meal on salad crops
« on: June 14, 2010, 20:42:59 »
I have dusted some lettuce, spring onion, beetroot and strawberries with Blood, fish and bone meal then read the instructions about keeping it clear of foodstuffs!  Duhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Thinking of CJD and any other nasties, has anyone got any sensible advice.  I'll take read the instructions before use, as read!

Thats what I use on all my edibles but I rake it into the soil.

Now that you 'dusted' the plants with it; douse it with water from a watering can or hose, a good rain shower would do it naturally.

If you are still unsure if this has been sufficient then ensure you give the fruit/veg a thorough washing before eating.
