Systhane fungus fighter and roses
« on: May 30, 2010, 13:35:27 »
For some years now I've been using Systhane fungus fighter on my roses to protect against the "nasties" of mildew, blackspot and rust without any problems. Last year for the first time I noticed that about a week after using it, the leaves turned yellow and fell off on some of the roses, and its happening again this year. It only seems to happen on those roses with smaller leaves, especially Gentle touch and little white pet.
Has anyone had a similar experience, or know what might be causing this? I've checked and the roses aren't suffering from drought or flooding. I'm always careful to measure accurately when mixing the spray and use a clean sprayer each time.
I think it must be something to do with the fungicide as if I use Fungus clear Ultra, which has a different active ingredient, I haven't had any problems so far!
Any suggestions or insights would be very gratefully received!
