Eloping hoppers
« on: March 15, 2010, 22:09:02 »
I found two embracing frogs on the patio tonight, I dutifully picked the up and put them back in the pond. There is no more water round here for at least 1000 metres or so, even then there are garden fences obstructing the way to the next pond....which is in woodland.

They have climbed out of my pond again and making very slow progress.......to my garden fence :-\. Could there be something wrong with my pond? There are lots of frogs in there, no more coupled that I can see. So why have these two decided to move out?

Any ideas or thoughts on this?

There is no spawn in the pond yet either :(

Don't they try and spawn where they were spawned, or is that salmon ???  ;D

I think they do the same as salmon Ninny, so what you are saying then.....maybe one or both of them migrated to my garden and want to get back to where they were spawned.

Kinda does make sense................but I dont want them to go!! >:(

Bless 'em, they will do what they need to do. I just dont understand how they can get out of the garden. Larch lap fence to the ground all the way round :-\

Thanks Ninny :D
