Sowing Sweetpeas

Hi every body, i had some spare time today so i sowed some Sweetpeas (Royal Mixed) 6x6"pots x 6 seeds in course sandy compost mix coverd with paper untill they grow and in a cold green house, hopefully allowing me to have an early start on flowers, has anyone any advise on how to keep them alive through the winter,

Hi windy
 I put mine in root trainers or 2 loo rolls attached, never cover them just let them sprout on their own. Once they get to 4" high then nip the tops off to let them bush.
I keep them in the cold greenhouse over the winter and make sure they are frost free, I water them just to keep the compost moist but not too wet.
Have done this method for years and it works for me.
There is a pic somewhere of the ones i set off this year but can't remember where it is (senility coming in) but i'm sure someone will tell you.

Hi Peter, thanks for the advise, i'll go and take the cover off and wait to see if they grow the last couple of tryes they died with something called "blackleg" any idea and how can i stop this problem.
