Its on its way again for a touch of education?

The next two people have agreed to give it a bit of a boost, and I put a few extras in myself.

Sorry about the rules but....

For those wishing to join the postage cost is currently about £2 a little more if you go for first class and a little less for second.  Will those on the list please PM me that they are still on board.

There are 5 more on the list so at the current rate that will take about a month but hopefully the post will be back on form and it will be about the middle of jan, if anyone else wants to give it a whirl.

It was quite a good mix when it arrived (and left me) although smaller than Asbeans, I put in the same amout as I took out, I did notice quite a few out of date in this and in Asbeans parcel when it reached me. Shame, as it's a great way of trying new things, especially if you only take out a few seeds of what you are interested in and leave the rest for someone else to try. Rules are definately worth stating at the beginning of future swaps.

Out of date might only be in the minds of the seed sellers... things like tomatoes, squashes, most onions and cabbages should be good for about 5 years with at least 50% viability....

the stuff I plan on putting in is all dated 2010 or 2011 apart from the self-saved stuff.....

I would like to say a big thank you for those people who have volunteered to give it a bit of a boost on the way past.

Lol – just logging on to say I’d sent on the swap. That is quite a list to add :)

Even before that the parcel well exceeded my expectations, thanks for keeping it going Digeroo!

One last spin through...

Quick heading calabrese x pinch.

Added (found some more :D)

Celeriac Giant Prague x ~350
Basil x ~400

The great reef but not the yankee hospital department, with mixed pencil inner is stolen away, and yet without the editor.

I am glad that you decided to give Mrs Lewis's a try.  I really fell for this one, lovely looking plants, great taste and huge crop.  Hope it does as well for you.

Oops... just realised I misread a packet, that should only be 25 yin-yang beans.... IIRC there was one whole pack ....

As I am next on the list ( i think) just wanted to say a massive thanks to Digeroo for organising and for chriscross1966 for bulking it up (and anyone else who has done so).

I bought a few extra packs and thought I was doing well but that list is fantastic..

Cheers y'all.  ;D

I've got about 300sq metres (including the bit I'm taking on this year), but I'm a bit of a dillettant really... being single I don't need lots of anything so tend to grow one 14-foot row (long thin plot) of anything that I'm interested in and also as a ong-time vegetarian (24 of my 43 years) I appreciate the opportunity to try different things.... if I don't like it then, well, it was only one 14-foot row.....

I'm a bit of a nut about onions though, and I like squash so they do tend to get a lot of space but it's been nice having my own spuds even though they're nearly all gone now and next year the plan is to make rather better use of the space and not play it quite so fast and loose with the timing of certain things.... leeks and brassicas especially....

Having talked to our postroom controller I've discovered that we've only had one collection since Christmas so it looks like Oxford's postal serviceis pretty spannered at the moment.... we can fret a bit less,....

The parcel left me last week week Robert - on it's way to Mick but you'd have to ask Digeroo where you are on the list.  Worth the wait IMHO!!

Now it's thawing I should soon be able to get an idea of whether the oca and catawissa onions I hope to put in are still alive!
