freeeview retune
« on: September 30, 2009, 06:17:38 »
Today at 'lunchtime' I wonder why they are so vague with the time ? Do they think we can't use a clock. I can still watch the cable sets but all the sets in the other rooms will need doing and we don't have a smart-@rse teenager around anymore, so I am stuffed.

The joys of having only 4 channels and a 15-year-old TV that's showing its age.  :) :) :) :) :)

Only for an average of 32 hours a week, the rest of the time it's in English.

They say lunchtime as they don't know exactly what time each transmitter will change because they don't know how to use a clock.

I'm sure you can find a smart-@rse pensioner to help, plenty of those about now.

No I don't have one either.....the one I've got left is worse than I am at this sort of thing!

But my OH is an IT professional so I'll have to wait until he gets home.

How many times do they have to send the message on the screen to remind us though!

unless i've gone dyslexic all of a sudden, I can't see anything in English on today, unless it's Igi, Tigi, Bip a Bop.
Planed Plant  is a trick one, as plant is Welsh for child (or something similar)

The biggest wind up ever! Welsh language, everything in both languages as most cannot understand the so called lingo. Am I right in thinking there is no J in the welsh alphabet.

Can anybody guess which is the most common surname in Wales, yep you got it, Jones, which starts with, yep you got it again J.

Mind you I should not mock I have never been there and I will make it a lifes ambition to never go. Even my road atlas ends at the border with the legend 'HERE BE DRAGONS'

ITV3 & 4 disappeared off by box, so I did a re-tune, bit early as the channels came back but ITV4 has the wrong label so will have to do again.

Went to see what the new channel 'Quest' was going to show for their first program, maybe an interesting documentary? No..... TJ Hooker :(

There is no J, K, Q, V, X, or Z in the traditional Welsh alphabet but the letter J is borrowed for English words.

The Jones surname was first documented in England, but the Jones surname is more commonly found in Wales because of the anglicisation of the patronymic naming convention e.g. Gwilym ap John ('son of John' in Welsh) to Gwilym Jones.

well GRACELAND times have changed - nowadays they're extremely proud of their language, so much so that when an English person turns up, they insist on speaking in Welsh.........
