Hose pipe notlong enough!
« on: September 11, 2009, 12:11:46 »
I do not have an allotment but a very large garden, half of which I have made into raised beds for my vegtables. My hosepipe although very long was a nightmare to roll up, so my brother run a piece of hose pipe along the back of my garden behind the trees and shrubs and screwed it the fence post at the bottom of my garden complete with an outside tap. I have a tap outside the kitchen with two separate hose connections one for the top of the garden and one for the bottom. I just plug in which ever one I want, no great long hose to wind up. Its so simple, its great.

Just check it drain properly over winter... if your "connectors" have internal stops in them it may not and can be split by the frosts..  :)
