I'm growing 'Broad Ripple Yellow Current' a tiny yellow cherry which has no manners or behaviour ::).

no but i lost all my toms in the garden the dreaded blight took 16 plants 5 ramano 5 beefstake 5 black cherry 1  money thingy lucky all the plants in the greenhouse managed to avoid the blight so far .


will be doing the bordeux mixture next year ??? :-[ :'(

yes you did but i only saw it after it was well on its way. last weekend i found not only is it trying to grow leader shoots from the middle spine of the leaves but now there are three leader shoots full of opened flowers growing out of the trusses of fruit ::). i caught a couple more early enough to pinch out the tips but the flower ladden ones i have given respite and tied them into individual canes to get the fruits but i pinched out their tips.


how i missed this when i check the plants daily is beyond me :-\.

The nearest to that I'm growing is Dattelwein. So far it seems much better behaved but no ripe fruit yet.

Curious advice which I've only just noticed "Never use cold tap water on this plant, water should be at least room temperature."
