I had an Oca for the first time ever today... wasn't very large but it was the first one I found whilst having a firkle.... very nice it was too.... looking forward to the main harvest around X-mas now.....

Potatoes from store, tom slop from freezer, fresh cabbage and lettuce. Celery soup on now and fennel and celeriac for dinner tomorrow! :)

Celeriac, jerusalem artichokes, leeks, carrots - poached with chicken [ a Valentine Warner recipe] and potatoes. Lady Balfour potatoes make good mash and they are storing well so far.
Could have done something with the quince for a pudding, but didn't have time so that will have to wait for another day!

veggie soup for lunch, everything you can think of in it ;D
for dinner tonight, roast kestrels, red cabbage, roasted onions, carrots with a little bit of pork ;D

A frozen veg thing with courgettes, borlottis, tomatoes and onions, roast spuds and the first Bon-Bon.... they're pretty big squash but after the three of us had tasted it we ended up eating so much there wasn't as much as I expected left to make soup for tomorrow... was polanning on freezing some but doubt it will get there now.....

Roast pumpkin and garlic soup (had onions in too) for lunch. Some veg with fish tonight but not sure what yet as my son is cooking. :D
