I've heard somewhere that you wind runner beans either clockwise or anticlockwise round canes on wigwams but I've forgotton which way, Can Anybody Advise - Thank You

I tie mine lightly to the cane before they begin to twine, then they will do what they want as they grow- it saves me trying to remember every year.

Mine have now decided to go clockwise but they aren't the most intelligent of runner beans. I planted them around a wigwam and when they started to grow they all headed towards the back fence so I had to tie them to the canes!
