Rain at long last.
« on: May 13, 2009, 18:07:34 »
Hi all,

We have been praying for it, and now it's arrived. Looks like we are in for a couple of days worth ;D ;D ;D. Nice steady drizzle at the moment.

Lucky sod! Had a piddly little shower this morning and then nothing since.

My two plots are as dry as Ghandi's flip flop.

Not one single solitary drop.  Having to start lugging cans about again.

They keep promising us rain here, in Maidstone, then we just get overcast skies and no rain, my soil is bone dry: it's very free draining. Desperate for rain, really desperate.

Gentle rain here in Swindon since early morning. :) :) Really pleased as I could put my fingers down the cracks in my hard clay soil yesterday

Coming down in buckets in West Yorks and I was already moaning how wet my clayish soil was!

Been that horrible misty drizzle stuff all day that soaks you to the bone.  Supposed to be chucking it down in South Wales over the next couple of days.

Been mizzling all day here but no real rain yet.  If it's with lbb though, it'll not be long!

Light rain in Birmingham yesterday, but it didn't really amount to much. Heavier rain forecast for tonight.

We've had drizzle, we've had the odd shower. Just got back from the plot and it's still like Ghandi's flip flop only this time a sweaty one, a little bit damp...

Not enough to get down to the depth of a carrot seed though.
Tony.

Sow it, grow it, eat it.
