Overwintering cosmos
« on: September 21, 2004, 10:49:14 »
Have read the thread on dahlias and have noticed reference to keeping cosmos over winter. Well, the thread referred to Chocolate cosmos. I'm not that knowledgeable on flowers, but was given some cosmos (Pink Sonata) that has flowered beatifully in a pot - and still is). Is there a tuber in there somewhere? Can I keep it? I thought they were annuals.
Thanks,
Sarah.

THey are annuals. If they are not hybrids, you may be able to collect seeds to sow next year.

CHocolate cosmos is a periennial, but the other ones are normally annuals.
gone to pot :D
