Reminder - Lily Beetles and Fritillaria
« on: April 17, 2009, 10:20:10 »
Hi All,

Just to remind folks that Lily Beetle have a liking for fritillaria, so if you've had the little pests in your garden and have spring fritillaria, keep an eye out.  I've squished 3 this morning.

Cheers
is it in the sale?

Not a problem for me since I got chickens  ::) They've eaten all the fritillaria!

Must keep an eye out on the lilies though, thanks!

I haven't seen one since 2006, and that was a very small infestation. I've only ever managed to grow one patch of Crown Imperials, and they've suffered from the recent wet summers. I hope they won't get beetle as well!

Had about eight beetles so far, on the lilly tubs... have checked the frits but not seen any damage or beetles there yet...  :-\
