welcome both to A4A  .... beware of seed swaps ... you will be addicted before you can say germinate  ;D ;D

It's bad enough everytime I go see my family in Grimsby! My grandfather has a 300 foot long garden full of treasures he won't let me 'borrow' bits of.

Though last time I went I acquired a nice little bay tree.

Ok Guys and Dolls

I have eventually dug myself out of London and the snow - it was absolutely terrible.   :-\Everything came to a grinding halt - needless to say my course was cancelled so I spent Monday and Tuesday holed up in a hotel room.  My sewing was finished by early afternoon on Monday and then I watched the telly and popped out now and then to see what was happening on the streets of the Capital.  Not too far though - just out the hotel door onto the pavement and across the street to take pictures.  I was glad that I was not booked onto a train to get back to Bournemouth on Tuesday night but managed to get out by bus.  So I am safely home and not a snowflake to be seen!! Gnash, Gnash, and I so did want to lob dear hubby with one ;D ;D

Anyway, down to the serious business of seed swap. :o  I now have enough names and have gone through my seed stash and have a nice, heatlhy envelope of seed that will be winging its way tomorrow. There is also some flower seeds that I thought peeps might like.  I have also included some seed that have only just expired (not carrot, parsnip that does not have a long life), for anyone who wants to try it.  Help yourself.   The list is as follows :

Cheerfulness; thifasmom, Jayb, Littlebabybird, Mike McCoy, Susiebelle, Twirlie, Triffid, Purple Sprouting, Anemone, Spandangled, Molly44 (still awaiting address); Glosterwomble, Star

The first two are in that order, but then it is random.  Have fun and hopefully you can try some seed that you would not normally have bought a whole packet of. Let us know when you receive it and when it goes out - you can add riddles to the peeps so they can guess the parcel's destination

Regards

Yes Mikey... but it's cheaper than a true "Seed" catalogue addiction...  ;D

Yippee, I'm so excited this is underway!

I've a  totally legitimate excuse now to ignore the  housework and go through my seeds (yet again) to find some more goodies to add to the swap.  ;D

Glad you made it back ok Jitterbug but how on earth have you avoided the snow at home? Most of us are knee deep in the stuff.

Aww that's a shame about the trip! A friend of mine got stuck in Croydon, couldn't get back to Euston for the knee high snow. We don't have any  :( least I can get in my garden though.

I'm dead excited now  ;D

Glad to see that you are enjoying yourself.  Still looking for those sweet pea seeds.  Gnash!  I am sure its in the greenhouse on the lottie - will pop down on the week-end and see if I can find them.

What a relief that it made it to you safely. Didn't realise how responsible I'd feel while I was waiting for it to get to you.  :)

I noticed your photobucket link, too, thifasmum. Oh my, didn't you do well!  Everything looks wonderful.  ;D

yes the swaps are great fun but you feel all hot bothered till it gets to the next destination. i always breath a sigh of relief when it touches down safely.

i forgot to post a clue concerning the package's next destination.

so here it is:

What a pity if it has as there was a lovely selection of seeds in it.

Twirlie hasn't been active on here since 5 Feb and I'm wondering if Jitterbug is away as she hasn't been on since the 11 Feb.  ???

I'm sure she'll be back soon.  ;)

oh dear i didn't realise this hasn't registered as arriving as yet, i posted it since the 14th a Saturday morning. hopefully it has arrived and simply was not posted back out yet, our A4A names are not on the list just our proper names and addys so i am also assuming it was going to Twirlie unless there is someone else based in Clitheroe ???.
