strong cloches
« on: January 28, 2009, 18:29:57 »
Went into Wilkies yesterday and saw some cloches, Not the usual flimsy ones but good strond metal hoops. Dont know how if the pvc will stand up to foxes but at £4-99 for 6 strong hoops. I thought was a good buy for lettuce and such. Of course I had to get one despite Tony's Insisting that I didn't really need it. He reckons I'm a Wilkies addict. pmsl

We, too have bought a couple of these well made cloches but we had to pay £5.99 each. When we saw them first last week they were marked at £4.99. Returned to our Southend store on Sunday and they were not priced. We checked the price with the sales assistant who said they were £5.99. Still good value so we bought 2. Has anyone else found them to be this price? If not then perhaps we will check again on our next visit. Today in Homebase, they had some not so robust cloches much dearer. Sorry can't exactly recall the price but I think it was nearer £10 each.

I think this is the line they use when they can't be bothered finding out if they have anymore out the back or when the next delivery is.
