You can't get these in the shops any more. The E.U. has decided we are not allowed to have them and no ordinary lightbulbs will be on sale after 2012.
These lightbulbs give out more heat than light so your heating bills should come down if you are using those cold, flickering, long life bulbs. They are very easy to dispose of an do not need a trip to a specialised disposal centre.
When you switch on it is instant light, then you can dim them if they are too bright. No need to get rid of your dimmer switches.
Also if you have designer lights they do not take the effect away by looking stupid.
This is not the black market, as they soon get rid of the dark.
Prices will be starting about £100 per bulb due to there scarcity in England. But no doubt our European neighbours will still have them for sale. For although the EU make the rules they do not enter into the spirit of things like the UK. They just stick 2 fingers up.
