What's your greatest bargain in 09?
« on: January 06, 2009, 18:38:58 »
So far this year:
48 rolls of celotape for £3.60, usualy 2 for £2, nocked down to £1 for 2 in their last days, I offered £5 for a box and they gave me discount at the till :) (woolworths)
large corkboard £1.80 Usualy £5.80 (woolworths)
6 x low energy light bulbs FREE (B&Q) these were in the clearance section for 50p each, but when i got to the till they went through for £0.00. The lady called someone over to give a price and they said if it says 0 then charge 0 ;D

What bargains have you had so far this year?

Neil

Yes, my allotment too, and I went to Woollies today, so sad to see the ladies who have been there for years and won't be anymore.

Got a few bits and pieces although there wasn't much left.  A4 ruled paper pad 80sheets for 23p, 10 clicky pencils for 29p.  3 pairs of scissors at 20p each  And a basket, could only buy one as they still needed some for the shoppers which I could understand but it will be so useful for veggies. It's what I went for. There are other shops closing too, hadn't been into town since before christmas and is was so different, car park much more empty than it would normally be at this time of year.  I felt quite sad. :(  I don't mind getting a bargain but it is a shame when people are losing their jobs.
