HELP! TOAD
« on: January 04, 2009, 17:36:04 »
:) digging my plot today  I dug up a toad that was buried very deeply with my fork, I didn't harm it and it was asleep, it woke up with the heat of my hands,

my question is where do you put them so they hibernate again and don't die in this freezing weather?

after a panic I put the toad in a neighbours manure pile that is going to be a hotbed and won't be moved. Is that OK :-\

I should think that the toad would be ok in the compost heap. It will soon find somewhere else if it gets too hot
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

BTW, wet your hand before you pick them up!
You couldn't make it up!
