who's had the xmas lurgy?
« on: December 29, 2008, 12:03:00 »
although everybody around me where falling like flies, I was enjoying a relatively sniff free xmas. Then I had to come over to the north island to take a quick look at site managing a potential job near wood green. This morning sore throat, sniffs, and the start of a cough.

I will have to go into quarantine now. I did notice that everyone over there were coughing and sneezing, so how many more of you are lurgy carriers.

OH has caught it for once.  He doesn't often catch my cold and he doesn't get Man Flu, he is a good little soldier, however, he is lying down at the moment  ::)

So far two of my brothers, my sister-in-law, my sister, my two sons, my best friend and my dad.  Dad's had it a month and has had to have 3 chest xrays so far.  Fingers crossed, all I've had is a sore throat.  ;D
What I lack in ability and experience, I make up for in sheer enthusiasm!!!

I've had it since 21st November but hoping it is about to leave me, feeling much better today at long last.

Feel really sorry for anyone that has it, hope you get well soon.

ACE, gardens in Wood Green, do you mean north London.  Oh dear.  Well you may be near to Enfield, so can come to my lovely allotment if you wish.  Worked in Wood Green many years ago, I do not think you will/would like it today.

Seem to have avoided it over Christmas, but we did have one with meningitis and everyone else with the sicky bug at the start of the month.

Hope you all get better soon.

Keeping well so far - so I wish all you poor sufferers a speedy recovery and a very Happy New Year.

I try to keep away from crowds at this time of the year - shop early and keep warm at home.
