I don't hate it, actually I love it.  Once winter comes, which is lovely in it's way, all wrapped up and all that comfort food and snuggling down under the duvet at night and hurrying home to get into the warm and the promise of Spring just round the corner, what could be nicer, apart from the sun ;D

It gets a plus from me.

Same here - come home from work, draw all the curtains around the house, a little more time to spend creating a different meal, to have folks staying over, planning the Christmas menu knowing I can pop up and pick or dig lots of the veg needed, and knowing next spring is nearer than the last  :)

I am OK till Christmas ,all the organising is a distraction.

I think the last few winters have been murky and dank,so depressing.

What has happened to those bright ,crisp winter days.So much more tolerable. :(

Blagh @ the winter >:( I don't care for it one bit!  It's cold, it's dark, it's just plain miserable.  On the plus side I do love fireworks and I do LOVE Christmas so much - it's my favourite time of the year.

Thankfully not dark here until just after 6pm this evening.

Anyway, why the complaints, [sarcasm]it's not like we haven't had the most beautiful English summer to keep us going, eh? [/sarcasm]

This used to be my most favourite time of year in the lead up to Xmas. Now I really just can't be bothered with it all. ::)

And yes walks with the dogs in the clear cold sunny air with the crunch of snow underfoot would be great but it's just wet, windy and miserable all the time. And cold. I went to the lottie for the first time in 3 weeks today - it's been too wet to go before. Picked what I imagine will be the last of the courgettes and the last of the tomatoes, shivered a bit and came back home. Amazingly it was still light but then in the space of 5 minutes it was dark.

Still there are logs burning in the grate and the two dogs are snoring gently beside me so it's not all bad! ;)

I'm with those who hate this time of the year. Too wet to go to the allotment today and Sunday is the only chance I get at this time of the year so I feel quite cheated. Now it's just weeks of going to and coming home from work in the dark.

Still, glad I didn't take any time off over the summer as I have now got holidays in November and January to look forward to. Can't wait!

I will really miss the dark mornings now that the clocks have gone back.

Hubby and I car share to work, he drops me off on his way.
We leave the house at about 6.30am when its nice and dark, hardly a soul around, we listen to the radio on our trip and laugh are heads off with the crazy couple of DJs that run the morning show, and its so snug and dark and cosy and romantic  ;D

Won't have the same feeling now its a big lighter :)

Hate the winter except for Christmas. Love going next door to watch Joshua open his presents. (and the excitement when I open mine :)) I do like fireworks but not for the past 9 years due to the fact that my dog is terrified of them
