what can i sow/plant?
« on: July 17, 2008, 11:01:29 »
Hi,

I am housesitting for my parents over the summer and they have just put in a lovely new greenhouse. We have never had one before so i have no idea what to use the space for (don't think they have any firm plans either). They have put in some tomoatoes down one side but all the staging is free (about 12' longish i think).

I would like to have a go at starting some things off in there for them but have no idea what to plant/sow. Are garden centres likely to still have anything that could go in?

Any ideas, edible/non-edible, welcome!

Have a look at July in here and it might give you some ideas;

plus I have collected some Delphinium & Aquilegia seeds last week and sowed them this morning.

I'm doing some spring onions in deep boxes and starting off various beetroot and salad items. Unfortunately for me to get some staging space means evicting chillies, peppers, aubergine or ocra.
