runner bean problems
« on: May 15, 2008, 22:07:41 »
hi
I'm having trouble with the runner beans this year ( Red Rum and Desire ) both from T&M , when they germinated, some had no leaves just a stalk, others had curled leaves ?? i disgarded them

so as the soil warmed I sowed them direct, about a fortnight ago, 2 have germinated so far out of 24, and they are pale weak looking specimens  :-\.

should i get new beans and sow again................is it to late now?

No it is not to late.

A lot of people do not put them in till the end of May.

Probally best to scrap those beans and start afresh. :)
